Otter Camp/Venue

Otter Camp is a delightful venue suitable for functions, conferences, wedding parties or family get-aways with a difference! PLEASE NOTE – This camp is only available for functions. Accommodation for 24 guests with each chalet en-suite. A dedicated chalet for the children which sleeps 8 in total. Otter Camp is situated on the river bank with a large swimming pool and slide to ensure endless fun in the sun. Every Chalet has a different interior theme which reflects on the surrounding environment and its interesting artefacts. Fully equipped kitchen and Spit braai available on request. Otter Camp is a fresh innovative venue which will definitely impress your guests with a farm-style chic. The camp is available from Friday to Sunday, which is included in the price.

Venue Rates:

Option 2: R39,500.00 

(Incl Honeymoon suite for wedding night
and Otter camp, 3 nights accommodation)

– includes Honeymoon Suite (Toeka Camp) for the “newly-weds” & accommodation for 24 guests at the venue.

– Compulsory R3,500.00  refundable breakage deposit.

Option 3: R88,700

(Whole farm incl Venue & Honeymoon suite
for wedding night, 8 Camps, 3 nights accommodation)

To book the entire farm with all accommodation is R88,700.00

Venue Features:

 Comfortably seating 80-120 guests. Separate chapel with stretch tent area for pre-drinks & canapés reception area and safe and secure parking.

The venue hire includes 13 Rectangular Wooden Tables or 10 Standard round tables, 120 Chairs, Crockery and cutlery, variety of glasses, and limited decor for 120 guests.



  • Own catering to be arranged. Catering can make use of our kitchen. R10,000 hiring fee. (Includes fully fitted kitchen with all appliances at caterer’s disposal)
  • Caterer to supply own cleaners &/or waiters for function (Compulsory)

Terms & Conditions

  • Accommodation tariffs are quoted in South African rand (ZAR) and are subject to change.
  • CHECK IN – 2 PM, CHECK OUT – 10 AM
  • Game Drives - R60pp (children under 5 free). Drives available at 6am  or 5pm (Summer), and 7am or 4pm (Winter)
  • Boma fire place gets provided with 1 bag firewood, more wood available on request at R60 per bag.
  • Bags of Ice is available at R12 per bag.
  • Guests to provide own towels.
  • No telephone cancellations are valid, cancellations must be sent via email to
  • Cancellations are subjected to a 50% fee of the deposit paid if made within 14 days. , Cancellations are subjected to a 100% fee of the deposit paid if made within 7 days.
  •  All activities at own risk.
  • Indemnity forms to be completed on arrival (Compulsory)
  • *Accommodation Prices are not valid over long weekends – for stays over long weekends, please enquire for relevant estimations*

Wedding & Functions – Terms & Conditions

  • A R3 500 deposit is required to confirm the venue and the balance is due 7 days before the wedding date. Deposit is non-refundable if function is not cancelled within 14 days prior to function date.
  • Additional R3 500 Breakage Deposit will be invoiced, which will be refunded within 7 days after the function if no damages or loss found to the venue and kitchen.
  • Accommodation on the farm is on a first come first serve basis, we cannot hold any
    camps unless deposit has been paid.
  • Own catering to be arranged. Catering can make use of our fully fitted kitchen @ R10 000 rental fee. Own cleaners/waiters must be supplied.
  • Own alcohol to be provided. No bar services.
  • The venue hire includes 13 Rectangular Wooden Tables, 120 Chairs, Crockery and cutlery, variety of glasses, and limited decor for 120 guests. Please book a venue consultation to see what decor we have to offer.
  • All activities at own risk. Indemnity forms MUST be completed upon arrival at check in.
  • All valuables must be locked away in car, or room. Meloti Valley takes no responsibility for any damage or loss of any personal belongings!!
